This new program uses the successful components of these former Construction Assistant and Industrial Maintenance Mechanic programs. The new design allows for increased flexibility in the program to meet current needs of employers in Sussex
County. The Multicraft Skills program will focus on the National Center for Construction, Education and Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum, with certifications in each component area. The program could provide specific work on construction skills, industrial refrigeration, hydraulics, motor controls, sheet metal, cabinetry, or any
other skill set in demand at the time in the County. There will be a limited number of tuition-assisted enrollments provided with funding from the Delaware Workforce Investment Board. Students will be selected based upon the eligibility criteria. This approved Workforce Investment

 NURSES AIDE Certificate Program ~ 150 hours |

This program is designed to prepare students for the State of Delaware Certification Examination to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). You will be scheduled for a required minimum of 150 hours of training. Seventy-five hours of classroom
and lab training will be conducted at Sussex Tech. There will be an additional 75 hours of clinical training performed at local health care facilities. Most nurses aide positions and clinical training require the ability to lift. This course is taught by a team of registered nurses from our area with experience in many different
patient care settings. Upon successful completion of the course you must pass both the written and skills state tests to become certified. Background checks are required prior to clinical training. The orientation session is required for this program.
